Can I clean my dust collector filters with compressed air?

Avoid using compressed air to clean dust collector filters.

It is not recommended to clean your dust collector filters manually using compressed air. Doing so increases the risk of damage, as maneuvering a loaded filter can cause it to be drop, potentially causing physical damage to maintenance personnel. Additionally, using compressed air can create small holes in the filter media, which would allow dust particles to bypass the filter and contaminate the clean air side of the system. To maintain the efficiency of your system and prevent damage, it's best to use the manufacturer-recommended cleaning method, such as automated pulse cleaning, which is designed to safely remove dust without compromising the integrity of the filter media.
