Why is the PD pump in my baghouse not building pressure?

This content is applicable to medium pressure style baghouses from Imperial Systems.

Weights not installed on the pressure relief valve - Add the weights to the pressure relief valve per the installation instructions. Run the pump with the cleaning system off to verify that it is building 10 PSI of air pressure.

Pulse timer not set up properly - If the time delays are too short for your unit the pump will not have enough time to build the proper pressure. Verify the pulse timer is programmed for your unit. See PLC settings, table, and programming instructions.

Hold in the diaphragm valve - If a hole forms in the diaphragm it will allow compressed air to leak by. Replace the diaphragm.

Solenoid on diaphragm valve stuck open - Check the exhaust port on the solenoid valve. If air is leaking out the exhaust, the solenoid will need replaced.
